1.Added: Export to QuickBooks for individual Invoices. This uses SaaSAnt as an intermediate interface. We'll be doing more as we get feedback from our users. Call us if you want to try this and we'll walk you through it. It's pretty straightforward. If you need help mapping in SaaS, they can help you with that, although we used the same field names, so it should map automatically. This is beta at this point, but seems to work very well. You must be familiar with QuickBooks and of course have QuickBooks. With SaasAnt, it should let you map to QBO or QB Desktop.

a.Here are some instructions until we get it into our Help Files:

i.If you haven't already done so, you should setup where the export will go to by going to Company Setup, Each Computer, and there is an entry with an icon for QuickBooks Export. Select where you want the file(s) to go. We recommend creating a file folder in the Wrench folder called ROExports. We will be adding that folder in a future update so it's already there.

ii.Right click on an Invoice and there is a QuickBooks export in the menu. Currently it's on the normal screen where you work with estimates and invoices. It is also in the $ screen where you can see all invoices for one customer.

iii.Once it's exported, go into SaaSAnt, connect it to your QuickBooks if you haven't already, then go to Bulk Upload, Select Invoice. Then use the Browse files to find your export you just did. Follow the prompts. You may need to map the records which it will save later.

iv.Watch your taxes. We couldn't setup the taxes here (we have no sales tax), but each line item has a yes or no for the tax. QB will figure the taxes out for you, which should match the taxes you have setup in Digital Wrench. If there is any problem, please let us know.

v.We will not be supporting the SaaSAnt interface or QuickBooks. You will need to contact them for tech support. If there are problems with the export, we will look into those issues so they can be updated. The export follows standards set by SaaSAnt and Quickbooks.

vi.Mapping: When you import, you'll need to map our fields to the fields in SaaSAnt. We've created a map that you can upload to SaaSAnt. It is located in the wrench/ROExports folder called InvoiceMaps.json

2.Changed: When adding a package that has labor items, the Detail in the package is added to the Issue in the Labor item.

3.Changed: When adding a labor record from the labor list, the Detail in the labor item will be added to the Issue.

4.Changed: The labor listing in Each RO required you to set a ListFormat in order to see the Issue instead of the labor description. Now, it is a double line, with Issue on the top (indented), and Labor on the 2nd row of each item. (If you had setup a Listformat, you will need to delete it, right click on a labor item and select List Formats, select Default format first, right click again. Then again select list formats, click on Format Setup and Delete All). Call if you have trouble with this process. You can still use the List Formats, but the group of Issue and Labor has to stay together.

Nothing to do with the version, but we figured out why the VIN lookup doesn't work on some machines. There is a file that needs to be installed on the machine.

ReStart Digital Wrench after you install this and see if it works. No need to do this if the VIN lookup is returning data already. Thanks to Canby Transmissions for letting us use his machine while we experimented. We also need to give credit to our junior developer, Claude, who helped us figure it out.
