Welcome to 2026. It's been a while since we've done an update, time flies when you're deep into the software. We've added rentals to the Point of Sale module. It was the only place to add them, so you'll need the Point of Sale to use the rentals.

 

Rentals at this point are monthly, like a subscription. As a matter of fact, we use Digital Wrench here at VMT to track our customers subscriptions. The good thing about that is, we've been using it and tweaking it for months.

 

This is great for companies that have any kind of monthly recurring storage. For instance, many RV shops have a storage for their customers RV's, Boat repair shops or marina's have recurring mooring or boat storage fee's. We will be adding yearly storage, then after that we'll probably be adding weekly or daily. But because it pro-rates as an option, you can add those now, so the program will figure out the fee's when the 'rental' gets 'returned'.

 

Of course, as more shops start using the rentals, we'll be adding more features.
