While we used to change major versions twice a year, we are going to start changing major versions only at the beginning of the year. This way you'll know if you have version 6.4, that was in 2024. 6.5 will be 2025, etc. We're just not changing as much these days as the program has matured to a very stable and comprehensive piece of software.

 

While we are doing some small changes and fixes here and there, we have some big goals. They will take time to implement. Probably the first thing we'll do is get a storage option, part of a rental package going. This is more like recurring billing. Because we're using Digital Wrench here at VMT Software, we have some serious incentive to make recurring billing a priority. Plus we'll be able to thoroughly test it, because we'll be using it on a daily basis.

 

We do recurring billing right now with Digital Wrench. Our credit card system and Paypal automatically bill you, the client. Then we get an Email via Paypal, and a list via our credit card provider. After that we find the client in the contact software, figure out their POS ID#, then go into the Digital Wrench Point of Sale, paste in the POS ID, then go to history, copy the last item with the copy button, then right click on the F5 Find part button, and the last inventory item is put on the POS screen. It's very quick. If you're currently doing recurring billing, like for storage, give us a call so we can work with you on helping you get faster or maybe even automate it... to a point. Some automation is not always a good idea. Sometimes, like in our case, we can see what's going on with each customer. In this way we can correct mistakes before they happen.
